Kyoto Onimaru – Japanese Onigiri Design in Singapore

Kyoto Onimaru is a Japanese onigiri concept located in Singapore, by Skai Atelier as part of a commercial F&B renovation project. Inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics, the store aims to bring a sense of Kyoto’s refined culture into a contemporary urban setting.

As F&B interior designers in Singapore, our goal was to create a café environment that reflects the brand’s Japanese heritage while ensuring efficient operations for daily food and beverage service. The design balances minimalism, material warmth, and spatial clarity to create a welcoming environment for guests.

Design Concept

The design concept for Kyoto Onimaru draws inspiration from traditional Japanese architecture and dessert culture.
