KTMW Chicken Rice – Takeaway Food Outlet Interior Design in Singapore

Project Overview

KTMW is a chicken rice takeaway concept designed by Skai Atelier as part of a commercial F&B interior design and renovation project in Singapore. The store was created to serve as an efficient and visually distinctive takeaway destination for customers seeking quick and convenient meals.

As F&B interior designers in Singapore, our objective was to design a compact food outlet that supports high customer turnover while maintaining a clean and memorable brand identity. The interior design focuses on clear ordering flow, efficient kitchen integration, and a welcoming storefront presence.

Through thoughtful spatial planning and material detailing, the project demonstrates how a well-executed commercial F&B renovation can enhance both customer experience and operational efficiency in a quick-service food concept.

Design Concept

The design concept for KTMW focuses on simplicity, clarity, and operational functionality. As a takeaway-focused concept, the layout prioritises visibility and accessibility from the storefront while maintaining an organised service counter.

The interior palette combines durable materials with clean lines to create a modern and approachable atmosphere. This ensures the space remains visually appealing while withstanding the daily demands of a busy food outlet.

Key design considerations included:

• creating a clear ordering and pickup flow
• designing a highly visible service counter
• integrating the kitchen workflow efficiently
• maintaining a clean and welcoming storefront presence

These elements help ensure that the store functions smoothly during peak service hours.

F&B Interior Design Strategy

Designing a takeaway food concept requires careful coordination between customer flow and back-of-house operations.

Our commercial F&B renovation strategy focused on creating a layout that minimises congestion while maintaining efficient staff movement behind the counter. The service area acts as the focal point of the space, allowing customers to easily view menu offerings and place orders.

Lighting and material selections were chosen to emphasise cleanliness, durability, and visual clarity — key factors for successful quick-service food outlets.

This approach ensures the space remains practical for daily operations while maintaining a strong brand presence.

Takeaway Store Renovation Outcome

The completed KTMW takeaway store demonstrates how thoughtful F&B interior design in Singapore can elevate a compact food outlet into a distinctive neighbourhood dining destination.

By combining clear spatial planning with durable material choices, Skai Atelier delivered a space that supports efficient takeaway service while maintaining an inviting customer experience.

As F&B interior design and renovation experts in Singapore, Skai Atelier provides design and build solutions for cafés, restaurants, and quick-service food concepts across the city.
